A spokesperson for Trump dismissed Romney’s remarks, labeling him a “loser and quitter.” Romney, a former presidential candidate, announced his retirement from the Senate, emphasizing the need for a new generation of leaders to address critical challenges.
Despite Trump celebrating Romney’s retirement, the senator, who voted to impeach Trump twice, highlighted pressing issues such as national debt and global threats.
