Items Confiscated in FBI Raid at Residence of Eric Adams’ Chief Fundraiser

During an operation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Thursday, various items were confiscated from the residence of Brianna Suggs, who serves as New York City Mayor Eric Adams’s chief fundraiser.

The items seized during the raid included three iPhones, two laptops, numerous papers, a manila folder labeled “Eric Adams,” and several contribution card binders, as reported by the New York Times.

This operation coincided with an unexpected change in Mayor Adams’s schedule, which involved the cancellation of a meeting with senior White House officials regarding the migrant crisis. Mayor Adams had already left the city but returned promptly, attributing his return to the raid on Suggs’s residence and the ongoing investigation.

A warrant obtained by the New York Times revealed that FBI agents were conducting an investigation into potential illegal foreign contributions to Mayor Adams’s campaign. These contributions may have been part of a donor scheme using the names of individuals who did not actually make contributions.

The FBI’s search aimed to gather evidence related to multiple charges, including theft of federal funds, conspiracy to steal federal funds, wire fraud, wire fraud conspiracy, foreign national campaign donations, and conspiracy related to those contributions.

Brianna Suggs has been a long-time supporter of Mayor Adams and continues to work as a consultant for his 2025 reelection campaign.

The campaign has garnered over $2.5 million in contributions so far. Records from the city indicate that Suggs’s company, Suggs Solutions, received approximately $100,000 from Adams over the past two years for services related to fundraising and campaign consulting. Additionally, during Mayor Adams’s 2021 mayoral campaign, Suggs received $50,000 for lobbyist services.
