A recently published biography delving into the life of Elon Musk, the entrepreneur behind X, Tesla, and SpaceX, has garnered attention for its critical evaluation of former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden.
Penned by Walter Isaacson and titled “Elon Musk,” the book highlights an encounter between Musk and Trump in December 2016. At that time, Musk characterized the newly elected President as “somewhat eccentric.” While Musk initially entertained the notion that Trump might prove to be a capable leader, he ultimately came to the conclusion that Trump’s presidency closely resembled his candidacy, resembling a chaotic spectacle, as reported by The Daily Wire.
Isaacson’s account reveals that Musk expressed to him that “Trump might be one of the most adept manipulators of language.” Musk’s perspective on Trump evolved to include a “deep disdain” for him after Trump’s departure from office, continuing to regard him as a “swindler.”

Isaacson also documented that Elon Musk has a favorable opinion of President Biden. Musk has made several jabs at Biden on X, humorously suggesting that both Mitch McConnell and President Biden could effortlessly “try out for the Crypt Keeper’s role – no need for makeup or special effects!”

Musk apparently informed Isaacson about a meeting he had with Biden during Biden’s tenure as Vice President under President Obama. According to Isaacson, Musk recounted that during a lunch they had in San Francisco, Biden spoke at length for an hour and came across as exceedingly dull, akin to a repetitive doll that utters the same monotonous phrases when you pull its string.
The Daily Wire pointed out that Isaacson’s portrayal of Musk’s assessment of the two potential 2024 presidential contenders resonates with the sentiments held by many Americans. Recent polling data reveals that when characterizing Trump and Biden, 23% of respondents used terms like “corrupt,” “con artist,” or “dishonest” to describe Trump, while 41% associated Biden with terms such as “old,” “elderly,” and “confused.”
Despite the Party Conventions looming less than a year away, both Biden and Trump maintain significant leads. However, both candidates face substantial legal challenges that could potentially impact the outcome of the race.
