In light of recent statements by former President Donald Trump, Chris Christie, the former Governor of New Jersey and a current Republican contender for the presidency, has reacted with determination.
During a campaign event in New Hampshire, Trump made a comment about Christie, stating, “Christie, he’s currently eating. He can’t be bothered.”
Some suggest that Trump used a remark from an audience member to convey something he didn’t wish to say directly himself.
When an individual in the crowd referred to Christie as a “fat pig,” Trump responded, “Sir, please refrain from calling him a fat pig. That’s quite disres– Don’t call him that. You see, I’m attempting to be courteous. Don’t label him a ‘fat pig.’ It’s not permissible. You can’t do it. So, now, since it’s unacceptable, and therefore, we won’t engage in it, alright? Let’s strive for civility, shall we?”
According to a report by Newsweek, Christie offered a retort to Trump’s remarks. He stated, “Say it to my face” and presented a challenge for Trump to join him on the debate platform if he possesses the necessary bravery.
Trump reiterated that he was showing “great respect” for the former Governor and that he wasn’t the one who referred to Christie as a “fat pig.”
Christie labeled Trump as a “falsehood-spreading individual and a person lacking courage.”

Previously, Christie had countered Trump’s taunts about his weight, implying that Trump couldn’t measure up to figures like Arnold Schwarzenegger in terms of physical stature.
The Hill observed that Christie and Trump have a history of public disagreements, especially during the 2016 presidential campaign.
To the surprise of many, Christie eventually endorsed Trump in his contest against Hillary Clinton.
