Conservatives are criticizing President Biden after it was reported that his staff has been instructed to publicly acknowledge only six of his grandchildren, deliberately excluding his 4-year-old estranged granddaughter, who is the daughter of Hunter Biden.
Last week, Hunter Biden resolved a child support case in Arkansas, bringing an end to a lengthy legal dispute over his 4-year-old daughter, whom neither the president nor the first lady acknowledge as their seventh grandchild.
According to a court filing on Thursday, Hunter reached an agreement with the child’s mother, Lunden Alexis Roberts, wherein he would provide his daughter with some of his artwork, while Roberts withdrew her counterclaim to change the child’s last name to “Biden.”
A recent report from The New York Times has shed light on the family disagreement, which appears to be rooted in “money, corrosive politics, and the significance of the Biden family legacy.”
Sources familiar with White House discussions have revealed that during strategy meetings, aides have been instructed to refer to the president and first lady Jill Biden as having six grandchildren, intentionally disregarding the existence of the seventh grandchild. This information was disclosed to The New York Times by two individuals.
Back in April, during a “take your child to work day” event at the White House, President Biden specifically mentioned six of his grandchildren by name, emphasizing his strong affection for them and his daily communication with them.

At the White House, Biden has displayed Christmas stockings for six of his grandchildren, consistently excluding his seventh grandchild from this annual tradition.
However, as Biden prepares for potential re-election in 2024 and with increased scrutiny surrounding Hunter’s overseas business dealings, the president has made a more public effort to embrace his son, Hunter, and grandson, Beau, by inviting them to Camp David for the past two weekends.
Last month, the Justice Department made an announcement regarding the president’s son, stating that he had reached a plea agreement concerning two tax violations and a felony gun charge, which is likely to result in him avoiding imprisonment.
On Twitter, conservative voices criticized the New York Times’ claims of the Bidens disregarding their granddaughter, describing it as “disturbing” and “unfortunate.”
