President Joe Biden could soon face a stark reminder of the power of a single photograph.
After a five-year investigation, Hunter Biden reached a plea deal that reduced his felonies to misdemeanors, resulting in no prison sentence. Ironically, this investigation has uncovered evidence that might potentially lead to criminal charges against Joe Biden.
During congressional testimony by an IRS whistleblower, a WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden to a Communist Party official in the People’s Republic of China was revealed. In the message, Hunter claimed to be seated next to his father.
As reported by The Daily Wire:
Photographs from Hunter Biden’s laptop appear to place him at his father’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, on the same day that he used his dad’s name to threaten a Chinese business partner.
The Free Beacon’s Chuck Ross and Andrew Kerr reported that four photos from the laptop show Hunter Biden in his dad’s Corvette on the same day that he sent a WhatsApp to Henry Zhao on July 30, 2017.
According to the transcript provided by the House Ways and Means Committee, Hunter Biden wrote:
I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight. And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.
Henry Zhao is a Chinese Communist Party official, according to Peter Schweizer, and was business partners with the daughter of China’s former minister of state security.
Hunter Biden’s message to Zhao was revealed on Thursday when Congress released transcripts from the testimony of two IRS whistleblowers, who said that they had recommended more charges to be brought against the president’s son but said they had faced pushback from the Biden administration.
The Free Beacon’s report noted that if Joe Biden really was next to his son helping him deal with the situation, his claim that he never had anything to do with his son’s foreign business dealings would be invalidated.
The photo of Hunter Biden in his dad’s Corvette is also newsworthy because Biden stored classified documents near that car in his garage.
Biden is currently under criminal investigation over his handling of classified material, as questions have swirled over how the documents got there, who had access to them, and for what purpose they were used outside of proper government facilities.
