On Tuesday, ex-President Donald Trump utilized social media to launch an assault on his previous press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, alleging that she distorted poll figures during her appearance on Fox News.

In a recent social media post, Donald Trump criticized Kayleigh McEnany, his former press secretary, dubbing her “Kayleigh ‘Milktoast'” and alleging that she provided inaccurate poll numbers during her Fox News appearance. Trump asserted that he was actually leading by 34 points over DeSanctimonious, not 25 points as mentioned by McEnany. He further claimed that McEnany was aware of the corrected poll numbers but failed to mention them. Trump concluded his statement by suggesting that McEnany should align with the RINOS (Republicans In Name Only) and Globalists, while also suggesting that FoxNews should solely feature “REAL Stars.”

Following Kayleigh McEnany’s statement on Fox News’ “Outnumbered” show, where she suggested that polling in Iowa indicated Ron DeSantis, a Republican presidential hopeful, was narrowing the gap with voters compared to Donald Trump after announcing his 2024 White House bid, former President Trump expressed criticism. The Hill reported on this exchange.

Although Trump did not specify the particular poll he was referring to in his critique, one of Donald Trump’s pollsters conducted a survey between April 27 and April 30, revealing that Trump had the support of 54% of Iowa voters, while DeSantis garnered 20%. This aligns with another poll conducted in April by Victory Insights, which showed Trump securing 54% of the vote, with DeSantis in second place at 24%. Additionally, when Trump was not included in the hypothetical scenario, the same poll indicated DeSantis leading the field with 59%.

Trump’s use of the term “milk toast” seems to be a misspelling of “milquetoast,” a term that characterizes a timid or feeble individual.
