Several people have criticized a TikTok video made by a woman who left a first date early because the man she was with refused to pay an extra $3 for cheese on his burger. The woman, known only as Dafna, recorded her reaction as she left the restaurant and uploaded it to TikTok, where it went viral. While some people supported Dafna’s decision to end the date early, many others disagreed, calling her out for being “money-centric” and not giving the man a chance.
Gotta be honest, this is probably one of the most insane “ick” stories I’ve heard so far.

She leaves in the middle of a date and blocks him because he didn’t want to pay $3 extra for cheese on his burger??? No surprise the comments are dragging her lmao pic.twitter.com/2TXbTHJ2AQ
One user commented, “She should show the frugal fellow a bit of understanding given today’s economic woes. That seems extreme. I mean, maybe he isn’t always frugal, but he’s struggling right now like so many people are.” Another user added, “You didn’t even give him a chance based on a piece of cheese.”
This is such a strange video.

I know a lot of successful men who will just get water at a restaurant because sodas are overpriced and it’s healthier anyway.
Why should he spend $3 on a slice of cheese? And I guarantee her branzino was twice the price of his burger. Why does she… https://t.co/Cova3kYTkW
Some users went further, suggesting that Dafna’s behavior was unacceptable. One user on Twitter wrote, “Having a date walk out on you for refusing a $3 slice of cheese? Dodged a bullet. She made a TikTok about it while walking home? Dodged a cannonball.” Another user commented, “If three dollars can put the brakes on living happily ever after, maybe keep that tidbit to yourself.”
Despite the backlash, Dafna and her date are reportedly set to go on a second date. In a follow-up video, Dafna disclosed that she, too, is “broke” and that she will not complain about money when she goes out on dates or to restaurants with friends. “I’m gonna enjoy myself and deal with it later,” she said.
