An American fighter jet shot down an unidentified object over the Great Lakes on Sunday, but unfortunately, the missile missed and landed in Lake Huron. The missile was fired from a U.S. Air Force F-16 after high-altitude objects were detected over Alaska and the Yukon. This was the third take-down in three days and the fourth this month. General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the missile “landed harmlessly” in Lake Huron and was tracked “all the way down.” The US Navy is currently leading the search and recovery operation.
