Costume designer Patricia Field claims she once kicked John F. Kennedy Jr. out of her Manhattan boutique because he made rude comments towards her transgender employees. Field, known for her work in “The Devil Wears Prada” and “Sex and the City,” wrote about the incident in her new book, “Pat in the City: My Life of Fashion, Style, and Breaking All the Rules.” According to Page Six, Field wrote in her memoir that Kennedy and his then-girlfriend, actress Daryl Hannah, came into her shop and Kennedy seemed upset that Hannah was getting more attention from the staffers.
Field wrote that Kennedy made a rude comment, calling the employees “freaks.” One of Field’s employees told Kennedy to leave and he waited outside while Hannah received the royal treatment. Kennedy and Hannah dated until after the passing of Kennedy’s mother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, in 1994.
