Former NFL player Jack Brewer spoke out at the Eagle Forum, suggesting that Democrat lawmakers are stoking unrest and violence in Minnesota and nationwide. He claims their opposition to ICE is tied to the agency’s actions that he believes are ‘deporting’ their supporters.
Brewer told Fox News Digital, ‘We’re deporting their voters. That’s part of what’s happening, and it’s blowing up their whole plan.’
He criticized the influx of individuals who do not share American values, stating, ‘You can’t allow people to come into your country who don’t carry the same morals and values that you do. That’s what’s happening. Minneapolis is protecting these thugs. It’s unbelievable. These people are demonic.’
Having worked in developing countries for 25 years, Brewer emphasized the cultural differences: ‘You cannot let people come into the United States who come from cultures like that, because they bring their culture with them. That’s what’s happening.’
Brewer also called for a mental health assessment for Minneapolis residents, saying, ‘There is something wrong in Minneapolis. We need a city-wide behavioral health assessment. People have completely lost reality.’
He expressed hope that President Trump would send in the National Guard, advocating for curfews and real consequences for attacks on law enforcement: ‘These men and women should be able to do their jobs and go home to their families safely.’
Brewer criticized Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey for exacerbating the situation instead of providing leadership. The Justice Department recently issued subpoenas to Frey, Governor Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and other state officials due to a criminal investigation into their interference with ICE operations, stemming from comments made by Walz and Frey.
Despite having accepted a key to the city from Frey in 2018, Brewer’s opinion of the mayor has changed dramatically: ‘I wish I could lock the doors on that city and not let him back in if I had the power. What he has done is absolutely ridiculous.’
He further criticized Frey, saying, ‘He tap-dances for Somalis. He does anything to go against the culture of America and Christianity for them.’
Brewer has been outspoken about the issues he perceives in his home state, including allegations of fraud involving ‘Somali elites’ and the transformation of local businesses.
