A student at Oklahoma State University, reportedly transgender and identified as a radical leftist, is facing potential charges after a viral video showed them vandalizing a Young America’s Foundation (YAF) table on campus.
The footage, shared by the popular X account Libs of TikTok, depicts the individual tearing materials from the table, which bore a sign stating ‘Marriage = 1 man + 1 woman,’ and scattering the items across the lawn.
In the video, conservative students address the vandal, asserting that their actions constitute ‘stealing’ and ‘littering.’ One student is heard saying, ‘Hey, Jesus loves you anyway and I hope you come to your senses and will realize we can have a conversation without you throwing our stuff away.’
The vandal responds, ‘I can’t have a conversation with people who don’t think I deserve rights. You don’t deserve a conversation.’
The YAF chapter at Oklahoma State confirmed in a post on X that a police report has been filed. They stated, ‘A police report has been filed, and we are working with the OSU Police Department to ensure charges are pressed against this individual. If you have any information about them, please pass it along to campus police.’
Mack Burke, a spokesperson for Oklahoma State University, confirmed to The College Fix that the OSU Police Department is investigating the incident and charges are pending. He stated, ‘Oklahoma State University supports the rights of student groups to express their opinions and speak freely.’
OSU also responded to Libs of TikTok, affirming their support for free speech and indicating that the police department is actively looking into the matter.
The identity of the student involved has not been publicly disclosed.
This incident is not isolated; reports indicate that vandalism against conservative groups has occurred at other universities this fall. For instance, an Illinois State University teaching assistant was dismissed for overturning a Turning Point USA table, and another Turning Point USA chapter at Fort Lewis College reported vandalized posters.
